Headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, Dirty Soles Footwear Group was founded by Cory and Tasha Strong.

(aka C. Strong & T. Strong)

With their respective 20+ years of experience in the footwear and fashion industries, Dirty Soles is the culmination of their passion to bring new and exciting brands, artists and creative services into the spotlight while simultaneously developing a circular concept of philanthropy and collectively building professional environments in which every participant wins. To fully understand the process by which the company operates, it is a requirement to not only live by the mantra, “each one teach one” but also be an active partner — delving into the community, doing the work and not just “talking the talk” but “walking the walk” to physically get your “soles dirty”.

who we are…

Dirty Soles Footwear Group is a majority, black woman owned, certified ACDBE corporation. The Dirty Soles team consists of a conglomerate of business professionals offering services in footwear manufacturing, sales, marketing, business development, social media & influencer marketing, educational programming, professional development as well airport concessions. Collectively we have established and continue to perfect what we call “the incub8tor”. This unique space is dedicated to identifying and supporting entrepreneurs, designers, artists, culinary specialists and writers. The “Studio Sole” retail location in Newark, NJ was born from the incub8tor initiative as the 1st black owned sneaker consignment shop in the city.

The Dirty Soles corporate identity is rooted in the community. To create and develop a strong connection at ground level, a commitment to bettering the future of children, teens and young adults is at our core. We know that expanding the ability for the next generation to take advantage of opportunities critical to improving their self confidence, their lives, as well as those around them, is vital. Finding ways to help identify new and innovative programs via our Strong Media Marketing efforts, helps us to unlock such potential opportunities and broaden the scope of what is possible for our partners, clients and proteges no matter their background, race, ableness or financial situation. This viewpoint is instrumental in the guiding force for our core company values.

Integrity | Honesty | Accountability | Passion | Commitment | Leadership | Diversity | Teamwork

We are proud to mentor, offer leadership & guidance, sponsor community as well as philanthropic organizations and we require our clients to do the same. Dirty Soles works closely with Shekinah Glory Christian Church of Newark in philanthropic efforts and community footwear giveaways. Giza Olympius was the athletic footwear sponsor for Candy Elite All Stars, a competitive cheerleading organization previously based in Newark, NJ. A portion of the proceeds for the book Soul Journey: travels of a strong woman written by T. Strong, is donated to mental health awareness initiatives in the black community. Additionally, one of the Dirty Soles internal initiatives, “DETOX”, focuses specifically on assisting women in identifying and improving their own personal diversity standards around life + workplace solicitude.

Dirty Soles — not just a euphemism for shoes — is about walking it out. Whatever the “It” is for you. Get your soles dirty… walking, working and doing.
